Ring Size info

Sizes are expressed in American Ring Sizes. The ideal size will fit comfortably and be tight enough to prevent the ring from accidentally falling off.

If size is unknown, the best and most accurate way of measuring is by visiting a local jeweler. Jewelers use a set of graduated rings to determine ring size. The sizing rings should be of approximately the same width as desired titanium ring: wider rings (8mm or more for average sized ring) tend to require larger sizes, up to a half size more. Rings you have that fit comfortably can also be brought along for sizing. All our rings are made with Comfort Fit : the inside edges being rounded for a smooth fit.

It has been reported that some jewelers tell clients, for reasons unknown to us, to choose a larger size for titanium rings. This is not the case, do not choose a larger size, except if, as mentionned above, your ring width is large. In fact, it is often better to choose a ¼ size smaller as our rings are all made with comfort fit, which tends to provides a slightly looser fit.

Finger size changes with temperature and time of day: fingers tend to expand slighlty in the morning, shrinking back during the day and evening. Midday is a good time to measure accurately. Also, sizing techniques and readings are known to vary slightly from one jeweler to another: visiting different jewelers and averaging out size readings will reduce the chance of a missize.

These comparisons are as correct as possible although we cannot guarantee complete accuracy.

The American sizes are based on numbers 1 - 15, with half sizes and quarter sizes (eg. 6.5, 8.25). One half size US is roughly equivalent to one whole size UK.

In the UK, sizes are measured by alphabetical letter A - Z although it is often necessary to go above size Z by appending ' Z+1, Z+2, Z+3,' etc. The sizes are evenly spaced with half sizes (eg. M½ ) in between.

The European (EU) sizes are based on the inner circumferential measurement of the ring in millimeters. This is the only really logical system as UK and US sizes do not bear any sensible relationship to actual linear measurements.

Japanese sizes (JP) are a numerical system based on ring diameter - one division being one third of a millimeter, starting with size 1 at 13 mm inside diameter. Small and medium ring sizes correspond closely with European ring sizes.

The Russian (and Ukranian) sizes are based on inner diameter of the ring in millimeters.
